In 2007 a small dedicated team set out to do something that had never been done before – to turn our world into a world full of giving. Not by giving massive donations to charities but by very specific transaction-based giving.
Buy1GIVE1 envisaged a world where business, charities AND customers would come together in a way not seen before. It set out to create a world where EVERY transaction would make a difference, from the cup of coffee you drink (automatically providing access to clean water for an African child), to the meal you eat (automatically feeding and educating a child) to the TV you watch (automatically giving sight to a cataract-blind person) and everything beyond and between.
We together envisaged a world where charities are no longer begging for funds. And we made sure that 100 per cent of monies flowing would go directly to the source of the need rather than on expensive administration and fundraising.
And those things we envisaged are now happening, every second, every day, in every way. Buy1GIVE1 is rapidly becoming a ‘movement’.
